उसकी आश्चर्यजनक स्थिति का, ज्ञानी को ही ज्ञान है होता|| (१८.५६)
When wise man appears happy or dissatisfied to
the world, he is neither happy nor dissatisfied.
Only a wise man having similar state of mind can
understand the wonderful state of his mind. (18.56)

कर्तव्य बोध का नाम ही जग है, उसको ज्ञानी नहीं देखता|
निराकार, निर्विकार, निरामय, ज्ञानी सब में शून्य देखता|| (१८.५७)
The world is nothing but a sense of doing or
achieving something. A wise man who is shapeless,
spotless and unchanging does not see all these
things. (18.57)
मूढ़ है कुछ भी कर्म न करके, व्याकुल हो विक्षोभ से रहता|
योगी सब कुछ कर्म है करता, फिर भी सदा शांत है रहता|| (१८.५८)
Even while not doing anything, the fool remains
agitated and restless, but the Yogi remains at
peace even while doing everything, which is
to be done. (18.58)
सुख से बैठता, सुख से सोता, सुख से ज्ञानी आता जाता|
सुख से बोलता, सुख से खाता, ज्ञानी सदा शान्ति है पाता|| (१८.५९)
He sits at ease; he sleeps happily and eats happily;
happily he moves and speaks. In this way the wise
man always remains at peace. (18.59)

वह व्यवहार लोकवत करता, लेकिन कोई दुःख न होता|
गहन सरोवर के सम ज्ञानी, शांत सदैव सुखी है होता|| (१८.६०)
The wise man even while doing and behaving
like an ordinary man of the world, does not
feel any pain due to his nature. He always
remains happy and at peace, like a calm deep lake. (18.60)
