५)                                                                                  (with English connotation)
Ashtavakra says :

A man of pure intelligence may attain his goal by
casual instructions, whereas the other one even
after seeking knowledge throughout his life, may
be unable to achieve the goal.(15.1)

Indifference to sense objects is way to liberation.
Pleasure in sense objects is bondage. After having
knowledge of all this, you should do as you wish.(15.2)

Awareness of truth makes eloquent, intelligent
and industrious man calm, dumb and inactive.
Therefore, the truth is discarded by those who
are desirous of enjoyment.(15.3)

You are neither this body nor this body is yours.
You are neither the doer of actions nor the
beneficiary of their fruits. You are pure
consciousness, eternal, devoid of desires and
mere witness to the actions, so be happy.(15.4)

Desires and angers are the traits of the mind,
but you are not mind. You are choiceless and
spotless awareness and, therefore, be happy.(15.5)
